FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The 17th annual "Helping Kids with Cancer" radiothon is a twelve hour event benefiting Barbara's Friends, Golisano Children's Hospital's cancer fund.

From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, January 11, you can call 1-866-609-KIDS (5437) to make a pledge. You can also visit any Mel's Diner in Southwest Florida to receive a special breakfast for just a five dollar donation.

The radiothon broadcasts from Mel's Diner off of S. Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers. Golisano Children's Hospital raised almost 2 million dollars during last year's radiothon.
