CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office says there has been a recent uptick in golf cart theft.
The Sheriff’s Office says it is important to secure your cart.
These are some helpful tips the Sheriff’s Office provided:
- Remove your key and park your golf cart in a secure area like a shed, which is ideal.
- If you parked the cart in the driveway, block it in with a vehicle.
- Install a steering wheel club.
CCSO believes the suspects responsible for these crimes are from outside of the county.
