GLADES COUNTY, Fla. — Just before 8 a.m. this morning, a car traveling westbound on the outside lane of US 27, rear-ended a tractor-trailer when the driver failed to notice the truck had slowed in front of him.
The 24-year-old man from Okeechobee driving the car was taken to Hendry Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The driver of the truck, a 48-year-old man from North Miami Beach, was not injured.
