A southwest Florida non-profit provided all third graders of Lee County with their very own dictionary.

The Rotary Club of Fort Myers South handed out free dictionaries to kids at five elementary schools.

Bill Barrett, chairperson on Rotary Dictionary, said that students can take this with them while they grow and learn.

"The dictionary is  their book. They get to carry that from third grade, to fourth grade, to fifth grade and on. So that resource is something they get to carry with them. And that's their future,” Barrett said.

Since 1999, the club has given out 160,000 copies, which totals more than $300,000.
