FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The city you live in might help predict whether you will receive a large refund – or a large bill – from the Internal Revenue Service.
And Fort Myers is the top place in the country to live to get a hefty refund.
According to Fox Business, the biggest refunds were doled out in Fort Myers. That’s where 70% of people received average refunds totaling nearly $3,800.
Another Florida city, Miami, was second on the list of largest refunds, where more than ¾ of people got an average refund of $3,700.
McAllen, Texas, ranked third. New York City and Houston, Texas took the fourth and fifth spots.
