Fort Myers police teach bike education

Posted

FORT MYERS, Fla.-- Over the weekend, the Fort Myers Police Athletic League hosted "Bike Education Day."

Members of the Fort Myers Police Bike Unit, along with volunteers, taught children about bike safety on Saturday at the S.T.A.R.S. Complex in Fort Myers.

Police officers ran kids through an obstacle course and then led them on a bike ride around the neighborhood. The police department even assembled some donated bikes for kids who didn't have one and gave them helmets.
