FORT MYERS, Fla. — Lee County deputies arrested a man who is accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a teenage girl.
Depuites said that Marquest Ruffin, 28, tried to pull the girl into his car, and he committed a sex crime on her before she could break free and run to safety.
The incident happened off equestrian circle, near World Plaza Drive in Fort Myers. Deputies said the teenage girl was walking in that area just before 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
Ruffin is charged with lewd/lascivious molestation, lewd/lascivious battery and kidnapping. He is currently in custody at the Lee County Jail.
