FORT MYERS, Fla. — FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Fort Myers Police Department confirms that the captain overseeing an investigation into Capt. Jay Rodriguez is himself under "administrative review" for a separate incident.
Capt. William Newhouse is accused of mishandling the 2009 homicide case into the murder of Danielle Blackburn.
He is not on leave during this investigation.
Newhouse is currently leading an Internal Affairs investigation over accusations that Capt. Rodriquez acted inappropriately during a 2013 undercover prostitution sting.
