COLLIER COUNTY — Florida Power and Light teams will be out in Naples today to show people how they can install power lines underground.
This is part of FPL's Storm Secure Underground pilot program, it's been in the works since 2020. So car, the company has done 249 different installs as part of the project. The goal is to replace overhead power lines that could be susceptible to damage with minimally invasive underground lines.
