DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol is in search of the driver involved in a DeSoto County crash and fled.
According to an FHP report, vehicle 1 driven by an unknown driver was traveling east on County Road 760-A, east of Mosely Terrace.
Vehicle 2, a pickup truck was traveling west on County Road 760-A, east of Mosely Terrace.
Vehicle 1 traveled into the westbound lane into the path of the pickup truck.
The pickup truck veered to avoid, traveled off the roadway, and overturned onto the south side shoulder.
The driver of the pickup a 44-year-old Male from Fort Myers and A 12-year-old girl passenger were airlifted to a regional hospital.
Vehicle 1 failed to remain on scene and currently remains unknown.
