The brush fire is 100 percent contained.
North Fort Myers firefighters are actively fighting an 8-acre blaze near Island Vista Estates, just behind the Shell Factory on Business 41.
Calls came in about 5:20 p.m.
As of 6:30 p.m., firefighters say the eight-acre fire is about 65 percent contained.
