CHARLOTTE COUNTY — Since 2010, “The Backpack Kidz” have been giving and refilling backpacks for children who leave school on Friday and may not have a guaranteed meal over the weekend.
The 100% volunteer charity tells FOX 4 they feed over 1,200 children Charlotte County every week. Those kids range from 3 to 17 years old.
