GLADES COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol says two men riding a motorcycle died in an accident on Loblolly Bay Rd. and Altman Lane in Glades County on Saturday afternoon.
Steve Nunes, Jr., 26, of Saginaw, Texas, was driving a 2017 Ducati eastbound on Loblolly Bay Road ahead of the second driver. The second driver Fobaio Ramos, 29, of Cape Coral, was driving a 2017 BMW in the same direction when Nunes, Jr. made an improper U-turn causing direct impact with the BMW.
After the collision, the Ducati came to final rest within the westbound lane facing west. The BMW came to final rest on the north shoulder along the tree line facing west.
The accident separated Ramos and Nunes, Jr. from their motorcycles. Nunes, Jr. came to final rest on the eastbound lane facing west. Ramos came to final rest on the north shoulder facing south.
