Emergency cold weather shelter opening in Fort Myers Tuesday night

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- With near-freezing temperatures forecast in Southwest Florida on Wednesday morning, the Salvation Army is opening additional accomodations to assist those needing a warm place for the night.

According to the Salvation Army of Fort Myers, they will be expanding their shelter by 30 beds at the Center of Hope, located at 2400 Edison Avenue.

Any man, woman, or child is welcome to seek shelter from the cold weather there. They can stay from 7:30 p.m. Tuesday until 6:30 a.m.
