More than 40 states including Florida are suing drug companies accusing them of scheming to inflate generic drug prices.

The lawsuits are against companies like Teva Pharmaceutical, Pfizer, and Mylan.

The suit claims those companies raised drug prices in some cases by more than a %1,000.

Court documents show the states claim those drug makers conspired to fix the cost and stifle competition from 2013 to 2015.
