A Naples man is accused of nearly slamming into a home and fleeing from the scene on foot, said the Collier County Sheriff's Office in a report.
It happened Saturday morning at Brookside Drive in Naples.
Deputies say the driver came down Holiday Lane at a high rate of speed, attempted to turn left onto Brookside Lane, lost control, and crashed into a yard, just inches away from the house.
The resident of the home told deputies that the driver, who was later identified as Jordan Paul Tovar 25, told her not to call police. He then took the tag off the vehicle and left the scene CCSO said in a report.
Deputies were able to locate Tovar at his home on Parkway Drive.
He was arrested and charged with Hit-And-Run.
