CAPE CORAL, Fla. --- Cape Coral Police arrest a North Fort Myers woman who they say ran through a crime scene of a serious crash and almost caused another accident.
Officers were responding to a serious car crash near the 4400 block of Vincennes Boulevard when 41-year-old Pamela J. Smith, drove through the scene at a high rate of speed.
According to officers, Smith didn't slow down until officers, thinking a fellow officer was hit, yelled for her to stop.
Police Officers say there were patrol car lights, cones, flares and crime scene tape established to let oncoming traffic know there was an active crime scene.
Smith was arrested and faces charges of DUI and possession of marijuana. Police say Smith's blood alcohol level was passed the legal limit.
