FORT MYERS, FL – Beginning October 15th, 2018, crews in Downtown Fort Myers will begin converting intersections to all-way stop signs.
Traffic signals at the following intersections will be removed and replaced with four-way stop signs:
- First Street at Lee Street
- Second Street at Hendry Street
- Second Street at Jackson Street
- Second Street at Lee Street
Traffic signals will remain at intersections on Monroe Street. Pedestrian crossing signs will be added in locations on Lee Street and on Royal Palm Avenue. In total, 25 downtown intersections will be part of the planned improvements to intersections throughout the downtown area. Conversion of the intersections is expected to be complete by the end of 2018.
