Robbery under investigation at Fort Myers Circle K gas station Thursday

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Lee County Sheriff's Office now confirms that deputies are investigating an armed robbery at a Circle K store in Fort Myers.

Deputies responded to the scene just before 2 a.m. Thursday morning at the gas station on Orange River Boulevard and Palm Lane in Fort Myers. 

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the suspect entered the store, displayed a firearm, and demanded money from the register. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot outside the store.  

Fox 4’s crew was the first media on scene.  

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 5'5'' tall, in his late twenties to early thirties,  weighing around 160 pounds. The suspect had a long sleeve white shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask, and displayed a dark colored firearm.
