PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office says it needs the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect.

Deputies say just before 8pm on Thursday, the suspect walked into a Publix Liquor store and demanded cash from an employee.

This happened at the 24001 Peachland Boulevard location in Port Charlotte.

The suspect did get away with an unknown amount of cash from the register.

After the incident, the suspect ran towards Peachland Boulevard.

CCSO says the suspect was wearing a heavy black coat with a hood, black jogging pants, gray and white gym shoes, white gloves, and a white face mask.

The suspect was seen loitering in a parking lot near a black bicycle, deputies say.
