SANIBEL — The Lee County Sheriff's Office's marine unit is on scene of a boat crash at the Sanibel Causeway.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission say the crash happened on the southwest side of the Sanibel Bridge around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Officials say the 24-foot vessel crashed into the rocks near the bridge. The boat had one person on board and they went to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
FWC is investigating and will provide more details when they become available.
