NAPLES, Fla — UPDATE 11/17

The Collier County Sheriff's Office says that it responded to a Wendy's Restaurant on Tamiami Trail N about a shooting on Sunday.

Deputies say upon arrival; a witness told them she was in the restaurant's drive-thru waiting to pick up her food when she heard tires squeal behind her.

They say she could see a man in a black and red shirt approach the passenger side of a grey car behind her.

Deputies say she saw that man opened the car door and started to punch and hit the passenger.

The witness then says he attempted to pull the passenger out, but the passenger fought back.

As the fight continues, the witness told CCSO she heard a gunshot go off but never saw a gun.

The man in the black and red shirt spoke out and said, "that hurt," CCSO says.

Deputies say both the passenger and an unknown man ran to a Black Nissan with Florida tags and drove off in it.

The deputy on scene says he contacted another witness who was eating her lunch in the parking lot.

She told the deputy she saw the grey car pull into the parking with several young men inside.

She said when two of the men got out of the car, that's when she heard gunshots.

The deputy says the witness saw a man holding his hand assumed he was injured from the shot.

She then sees that man and another man get into a Black four-door vehicle as the man ran off.

Deputies were able to locate the Black Nissan in the city of Naples and detained the occupants.
