The Lee County Sheriff's Office began a death investigation after human remains were located in Alva, Saturday morning.
The remains were found at around 10:30 a.m. by a teenage boy who spoke with Four In Your Corner. His mother asked that he remain anonymous. When he spoke with Four in Your Corner he said that when he first found the body, he first thought it was an animal.
"It looked like deer hair almost, but when I looked closer I saw it was a dirty blonde", he said.
After he discovered the body was a a person and not an animal, he ran to hid parents who called the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the scene at 10:49 a.m. in the 23000 block of Avenue D, Alva ( Charleston Park).
