BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — Lee County Sheriff's detectives were on the scene of a death investigation Tuesday afternoon.
Police tape was strung around several homes along Stardust Drive and the street running parallel to it, Token Court. Deputies found a body in the canal separating the two streets.
"We've heard some gunshots in the back and this has been coming often," said a woman who lives near where the body was found. She did not want to be identified.
Detectives interviewed several people on both streets, but so far no word on what caused this person's death.
