LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The latest Semi-Annual Uniform Crime Report (UCR) was released, and it is showing a significant reduction of crime in Lee County.
Major crimes such as murder, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault saw a 3.49% change compared to 2018.
Non-Violent crimes such as burglary and motor vehicle theft saw an 18.77% change compared to 2018.
Law enforcement has traditionally reacted to crimes. The safety and security of our residents is my number one priority. By constantly upgrading our technology, adjusting our practices, and improving our already positive relationships with residents, working together, we are able to keep our residents safer than ever before.
