CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A woman got a gun pulled on her Friday night while she tried to take a short cut. Three young males confronted her and her boyfriend when they walked through the Winn-Dixie parking lot by Cape Coral Parkway.

"It just doesn't even seem possible," the victim said. "In the moment, you ask yourself is this really happening," she added.

The victim asked to remain anonymous. She fears the trio will come back.

"Should I buy mace, should I get a gun. I don't know what to do," she said. "Anybody would be upset about this. It just doesn't go away, it sticks with you," she added.

The male with the gun was on foot but the other two rode bikes. The woman gave the thieves the cash she had on her. They also robbed her boyfriend's phone, wallet, and backpack.

She wants to get the word out because she's worried it could happen to other people.

"They got away with it once already," she said. "They could try it again."

Cape Coral Police and Lee County Aviation responded to the armed robbery. The K-9 officer conducted a track, but it came back with negative results.
