FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A vigil was held at Followers of Christ Fellowship Ministries, a local church in Fort Myers, where within 48 hours, four people died in two separate shooting incidents.

The latest shooting was Wednesday night.

A community group called Parents of Murdered Children, or POMC, scheduled Thursday night's meeting.

"I was sick to my stomach when I found out about the shootings.  This has to stop," says treasurer of the church, Kimberly Morse.

Another member, Angela McClary says "My heart is hurting for our city."

The church's hope is to bring the community together and spread peace and unity. Five people have died since Saturday.

The vigil was open to the public and lasted roughly two hours.

Church service is held every Sunday morning at 2309 Grand Ave. The community is encouraged to join.
