Collier woman says she's being harassed and evicted

Posted

Janie McInturff, a resident of Panthers Walk RV resort in East Naples says she's been served with eviction papers.

Her property manager alleges she's driving through the community to fast and being too loud.

"This is supposed to be Florida, paradise.  This has been very, very traumatizing for me."

McInturff has lived in the community since 2013, and for most of the time she claims she's been harassed by her neighbors and landlord.

"I heard her calling me an F-ing, one armed Mexican," said McInturff, who was born without her right arm.

Janie showed us receipts which she says prove she's paid the rent on time.

She's says rent isn't the reason she says she's being evicted.

"She doesn't like the way I drive around here, she says I drive to fast and I don't.  I go five and 10 miles an hour on these roads."

Janie says she was also scolded for honking at a maintenance worker who was in her driveway.

4-In-Your-Corner reached out to the property manager at Panther's Walk for comment on this story but have yet to hear back.

Janie is worried her time may be running out.

"I don't have anywhere else to go, I don't want to get evicted, I want to stay in my house, I love my house."

Janie says she filed a complaint with the sheriff's office as well as document challenging the eviction in court, but she cannot afford a lawyer.
