COLLIER COUNTY, Fla — Big changes are coming to fall sports for Collier County Public Schools.
In a special board work session on Thursday, CCPS announced they wouldn't allow fans to watch fall sports in person.
Fans will be able to watch football and volleyball games in real-time on a live stream.
Other safety precautions will also be in place.
All Coaches, training staff, and athletes who are not participating must wear masks.
They must also stay 6 feet away from each other, so that means no huddling.
The Collier County Department of Health says only essential personnel will be allowed at practices and competitions.
A change.org petition to allow high school parents to be present during fall sports and activities has more than 5,000 signatures so far.
