FORT MYERS, Fla. — Fort Myers City Council addressed Mayor Randy Henderson’s controversial campaign ad for Florida’s District 19 seat.
In the video, Henderson declares his support for President Trump and said he would take back the key, the city gave to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, in 2017.
Councilman Johnny Streets says the mayor should remain non-partisan and represent the people of Fort Myers.
One resident says the ad is offensive.
