COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- A Naples man was arrested for child neglect over the weekend after two young children were found wandering the streets nude and covered in feces.
31-year-old Julio Venage was arrested Saturday night.
According to a Collier County Sheriff's Office report, deputies were called to the scene in the area of Airport Pulling Road when witnesses say they found a young boy and girl running down the street with no clothes on. Deputies say both children had large amounts of dried feces covering numerous body parts.
A woman later arrived and told deputies that Venage was supposed to be watching the children at night while she was at work.
Deputies then went to the home to speak to Venage and found the home to be in "complete disarray", with garbage and dirty diapers strung about every room.
Venage was in disbelief that the children had been missing for over an hour.
He was arrested and booked into the Naples Jail Center. He is facing two charges of felony Child Neglect.
