CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.-- The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is getting prepared for wildfire season.
The sheriff's office put these photos on their Facebook page, showing their aviation unit testing out their new fire tank set up. They say the new set up replaces their old water bucket system.
The department says it's a more efficient way to utilize the helicopter not just for fire control, but also for mosquito control.
That's because the tank on the helicopter can hold water, or it can hold mosquito repellant.
