PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is partnering with the Ring Neighbors app now.
This allows detectives to directly message people who post in the app about suspicious or crime related incidents.
It also allows deputies to send people safety alerts.

The app is free to download, and you don't need a Ring device to join.
