Cats have gone missing in North Fort Myers, coyotes are to blame

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla.-- Recently cats have become the latest prey of coyotes in North Fort Myers.

A viewer sending us these photos of blood on a sidewalk, believed to be the result of a coyote's attack on a cat. It happened near Old Bridge and Bayshore earlier this week. 

People living nearby tell us since the blood on the sidewalk was spotted three cats have gone missing. 

Coyotes are considered to be a naturalized species in all 67 Florida counties.
