CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- A woman is recognized by the Cape Coral Police Department for saving a little boy's life after he drowned in a pool.

Tara was in the deep end of the pool with friends and jumped to action as soon as she heard someone scream for help. She immediately began emergency life saving measures which were successful in resuscitating the child.

"He just kept vomiting but still didn’t wake up. But then all of a sudden, his eyes opened."

Due to her commendable actions, Officer Anzalone, Officer Perez, and Sergeant Gleason went to her house Wednesday to give her the Citizen Commendable Action Coin along with hearing her great story.
