CAPE CORAL, Fla.-- People who live in Cape Coral and have a knack for gardening will soon have a place to sow a few seeds. On September, 29th, 2018 the new community garden will open.
The garden features 52 individual garden beds, compost and mulch bins as well as a tiki hut. Garden enthusiasts will be able to rent a plot of their own for $100 a year and can plant anything they want. When it's time to harvest, members are asked to donate a portion of their bounty.
The garden is just north of City Hall — at the corner of Cultural Park Boulevard and Southwest 10th Street. The dedication ceremony for the "Rotary Community Garden" will be held at noon.
