CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- In a study by Wallethub, Cape Coral was rated the 166th-best city for singles out of the 182 cities.
The top ranked city was San Francisco, California. 11 Florida cities were ranked; of those Tampa was the highest ranked, at 11, and Pembroke Pines at 180th was the lowest ranked.
The study had three categories--"economic," "fun & recreation," and "dating opportunities." Cape Coral ranked 4th in economics, 109th in fun and recreation, and 177th in dating opportunities.
For the economics category, they looked at a wide variety of items, such as the cost of taxis, eating out, alcohol, housing.
For fun and recreation, they analyzed items like the number of attractions, restaurants, parks, and nightlife.
And, for dating opportunities, they looked at information like the single population and its gender balance, online dating activities, and how active tinder users were.
