Cape Coral Police to conduct traffic checkpoints

CAPE CORAL, Fla. --- The Cape Coral Police Department Traffic Unit will be conducting traffic enforcement operations beginning Friday.

The Traffic Unit will conduct enforcement operations on at least one of the following Cape Coral roadways:

Veterans Memorial Parkway
Coronado Parkway
Kismet Parkway

Locations are selected based upon traffic crash data and citizen complaints. The Cape Coral Police Department is committed to promoting traffic safety through education and enforcement.

Cape Coral Traffic Unit will be checking from drivers who are speeding, red-light and stop sign violations, aggressive driving, or criminal violations such as DUI and reckless driving.

Drivers are encouraged to drive responsibly.
