CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Police have responded to a home, in the area of SE Van Loon Terrace in Cape Coral, to investigate a possible explosive device in the garage.
Police tell us around one o’clock one person came to the Cape Coral Police Department front desk to report it.
CCPD is on scene of a suspicious device in a garage at the 1800 block of SE Van Loon Ter. Residents were advised to stay inside, & the Lee County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad responded & rendered the device safe. Cape Coral police say the bomb squad used a robot to get the device out of the garage and quickly disposed of the device.
No arrests have been made and Cape Coral Police state there is no threat to the public but they are still investigating.
