CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Cape Coral leaders are heading to China tomorrow morning despite criticism from some citizens.
The city says the purpose of the trip is to create a relationship with China and expand business opportunities for Cape Coral.
This is video from last week's meeting some people said they didn't even know the trip was happening and they think the money should be spent elsewhere.
We are also learning a representative from Lee Health will go on the trip.
The budget for the trip is $17,000.
They return to Southwest Florida on June 7th.
