CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Daniel Spurgeon, a Cape Coral father accused of heinous abuse of his ten foster and adopted children, plead guilty to one count of sexual activity with a child in a Lee County court on Dec. 15. Spurgeon and his wife, Jenise, were arrested in 2016 after three of their underage foster daughters were found drunk at a Cape Coral KFC restaurant. Officers tipped off investigators in Florence, Alabama, who say the abuse started when the family lived there and he pled guilty to 14 charges, including child abuse and rape.

Spurgeon will be designated a sexual predator and will have no contact with victims. He will also get credit for time served.
