CAPE CORAL, Fla. — An employee of the City's Parks & Recreation Department has resigned from his job after being arrested earlier this month for possessing child pornography.
53-year-old Toby Sheaf was arrested May 17th by Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Sheaf had been employed by the City since 1997 and is a Parks Maintenance Supervisor II, and had been suspended with pay since the arrest.
Sheaf's resignation was announced Wednesday by the city.
City Manager John Szerlag said at the time: "I have been advised of the arrest involving Sheaf. I have directed staff to gather all of the details and facts surrounding this arrest and will be determining the appropriate course of action."
