LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- An alert Cape Coral homeowner helped police catch teens who broke into cars.
Cape Coral police say a man reported seeing three people trying to break into cars on SE 19th Lane around 3 a.m. on Thursday.
Police say they found two teens inside a stolen car and then they ran off. Officers searched for the suspects with their K9 and aviation units.
They eventually found and arrested the teens who were 14 and 16 years old. We're not naming them because of their age.
The teens were charged with grand theft.
