CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Cape Coral's Canyon of Heroes will expand to include more than 100 street poles to recognize more veterans and active-duty service members in our area.
The banner program is managed by the American Military Veterans Foundation located on Pine Island Road. The banners line Cape Coral Parkway.
Net proceeds from the program support veterans in Southwest Florida financially, physically and with alternative therapy service - helping them cope with PTSD and other issues.
Banners are displayed for about 90 days and then returned to the sponsors. They can hang either May to August or November to February. Banners for family and friends cost $275, and banners for businesses who want to include a logo cost $350.
