LEHIGH ACRES, Fla -- Bullet hole after bullet hole, that's what some business owners on Lee Street, in Lehigh Acres have to look at when they come work. Lee County Deputies say one person was shot and killed, and two others were injured at a party in at an industrial park warehouse.

Deputies said they responded to a shooting at 5583 Lee Street around 2:30 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies found a large party consisting of 200 to 300 people. The names of the victims have not been released. No suspects have been arrested in connection to the shooting, but business owners, like Kenneth Diehl, with Florida Forklift, say the shock still hasn't worn off.

"It’s such a quiet little area, we never have any issues here and all that, being called 'Hey don’t come to work in the morning because there was a shooting in the parking lot, it’s scary,'" Diehl said.

A source tells Fox 4, the owners of the Fly Lounge were responsible for organizing the party, but because the Fly Lounge lost their liquor license last week, they chose the location of the Lehigh Acres to host the party.

Fox 4 obtained two flyers from the event, the first one says the location of the party was to be held at the Fly Lounge in Fort Myers on July 20th. Then another flyer shows the same party, but just a different location on Lee Street in Lehigh Acres.

Fort Myers city council member Fred Burson says the recent events at Fly Lounge, which include multiple reported shootings, and violations, was the reason why he and other council members wanted Fly Lounge to shutdown before July 31st when the business will be closing it’s doors permanently.

"I feel very bad for the individual that was killed. But at the same time, that is the reason we pushed for them to be closed because it was just a matter of time before this happened," Burson said.

Fox 4 has reached out to the Fly Lounge owner and their attorney, but we have not heard back from them. This is an active investigation. Trust Fox 4 News with updates on this story.
