CAPE CORAL, Fla.  — The skyline in parts of Cape Coral could look much different!

The city is looking into getting rid of its maximum height requirement for non-residential buildings in the corridor district along pine island road.

It's more than 10 miles long connecting the city to I-75 and US 41.

The city says they have plans for this area to include large scale destination commercial and business development.

They want to remove the 45 feet maximum height limitation to accommodate the city's" Pine Island Road master plan.

They are voting on the ordinance at tonight's city council meeting.
