Boy claims stranger offered candy to get in their SUV in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police have released an image of a vehicle of interest in a reported "stranger danger" incident last week in Fort Myers.

According to Fort Myers Police, a young boy reported that on September 11, he was walking along Central Avenue when a silver SUV pulled up and a female passenger offered him candy to get in the vehicle.

The boy refused and ran away.

The driver was described as a black male with a short beard, shoulder length dreadlocks, with tattoos on his arms and hands.

There was a passenger that the boy described as a black female with shoulder length red hair, a camouflage shirt, and 1 gold tooth.

This incident reportedly happened the same day as another suspicious incident reported in Naples. In that case an 11-year-old girl says a man in a white car tried to get her to climb in their car.
