Barber shop worker guilty of lewd acts on children in Fort Myers

A jury sentenced Tolbert to 60 years in prision for two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Conduct. Tolbert was sentenced as a Habitual Felony Offender and is also now designated a lifetime Sexual Offender.

A jury has convicted a Fort Myers man of committing lewd acts on two children while working in a barber shop.

46-year-old Ricky Tolbert is facing up to 60 years in prison after being found guilty on two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Conduct.

According to the State Attorney's Office, 20th Judicial Circuit, Tolbert worked in a barber shop in January 2018 when a child told her mother that Tolbert turned the lights off in a back room and had the child sit on his lap while he commited the lewd acts.

Another child made the same accusations about Tolbert after an incident between 2016 and 2017.

Tolbert's sentencing is set for June 4th.

He also is facing further prosecution from a third victim who claims similar incidents happened to her with Tolbert in 2010.
