LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — The Fort Myers Police Department is asking the public for help to identify the person who attempted to rob the Fifth Third Bank at 11511 State Road 82, near the Crossroads Shopping Center.
FMPD Detectives need help identifying male pictured for the bank robbery on 4/23/19 at 5/3 Bank at Lee Blvd. and SR82. The lone robber has been described as an older white male wearing a blonde wig, plaid shirt, black pants with a gauze patch over one eye handed a note to a teller demanding money.
The alleged robber fled the scene without any cash. Reports state that no weapon was displayed and there is no believed danger to the general public.
The Fort Myers Police Department is securing and searching the area with assistance from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit.
