HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. - An arrest has been made in the 2019 Clewiston murder investigation of Bolman Slater “Bee Love.”
It’s been a little over two years since Slater's murder.
“It’s a good day for the family of Bolman Slater and the community," Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden said.
Marcus Lynell Thompson was arrested in connection with Slater's muder.
“He is charged with first-degree homicide, accessory after the fact, and arson accessory after the fact," Whidden said.
Deputies said they are still searching for a main suspect or suspects.
“As I said earlier it is still very active," Whidden said.
Bolman was murdered in September 2019. Deputies said Slater was burned beyond recognition in her car in the area of the 1200 block of Virginia Avenue in Clewiston.
“Just know we are on top of it and not going to stop until everyone involved is behind bars," Whidden said.
Sheriff Whidden said detectives are following up on leads and searching for other suspects who may be responsible for Slater’s murder. They are not saying how Slater came in contact with the suspects or a motive at this time.
Deputies said if you have anyone has information that can help detectives, call the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office.
